FR from newbie trying the challenge
« on: July 15, 2010, 04:00:15 PM »
Hey Guys,

I have been in this forum for sometime but never got into it until now! Ok my story: I read 'The Game' last year and ofcourse wanted to learn more about it. But I met this girl through a common friend and we started dating. i was too happy to have a gf and forgot about the game until she moved out of town. We broke up recently and now i realize that i should have pursued learning the materials. Anyway, I started doing the 'Style life challenge' about two weeks back and here i am trying to get some help and feedback. I generally go out with my friends on weekends.

Last weekend, i was at the cue club. We were just playing pool for the most part. Later I approached a HB7-7.5 playing at a table next to us. I did an opinion opener 'What is interesting to do outdoors in AZ during the summer'. And she blurted out horseback riding. Because she works somewhere in a ranch. We talked for about that for 2-3 mins, i got her name and ejected as my friends wanted to go dancing. Later that night, i met these set of two HB7s outside. One of them had tattoos all over her body. So i approached her asking about tattoos. They were nice and we talked for about 5 mins about tattoos and the world cup soccer. Just normal questions, small talk. The next day i was at a pool party and opened up 2 sets of HB8-9s. I was very drunk and don't remember how the conversations went, though it was much longer 15-30 mins each.

Anyway, currently I am just learning to approach and I noticed that I don't find it difficult. Though I may not be doing it right; have to learn some good canned openers, and how to switch gears as i find if difficult to continue the conversation. I wish i could go out 4 days a week but I feel uncomfortable going alone. My goal from now on is to open atleast 5 sets every night i go out and if possible stay in conversation for 10 mins with each set.

I am looking for suggestions and also to meet some locals, if possible, to sarge with.

Thanks

join us tonight man, look at the main forum for info
I do battle with the Angel of Death for fourty hours a week. And what do you do for a living?

Feel safe at night, sleep with a nurse.

Air goes in and out, blood goes round and round. Any variation of this is a bad thing...

Sometimes I'm glad I became a nurse...other times I wish I simply became a ninja.
