Nice post,

I like this.  It is bad to do all of these.  I honestly can say I have used each of these state killers for at least a year each.  I began to notice it when I would go out with freinds or alone on UNEXPECTED occassions.  Those nights I was met with the best successes.

With the structure of game now these are mostly weeded out.  I still have a good time just going out with buddies or doing something unexpected.  The trick for me is Planning Spontonaety.  It's hard to do.

     Still working on it,

Vellers

I like it, its a reminder of just GO OUT and FUCKING APPROACH. Do anything to be social.

Its funny because its so simple but its also so simple not to do...

Like when Mystery was on Conan: "Step 1 Leave the [fucking] house"
I do battle with the Angel of Death for fourty hours a week. And what do you do for a living?

Feel safe at night, sleep with a nurse.

Air goes in and out, blood goes round and round. Any variation of this is a bad thing...

Sometimes I'm glad I became a nurse...other times I wish I simply became a ninja.

SOOO true on the state killers!  Plus I've watched people do all of those and most of those are obvious DLV's to all who are watching.  (I've spent a lot more time watching others in bars than actually gaming.  Let's hope that's about to change!).  Especially walking in circles around the bar and ordering a drink before talking to people.  If you immediately open a set, people who watched you come in will assume that those are your friends and won't be watching by the time you finish your opener.

P.S.  Talking to hired guns is probably a great way to get into the right state.  Even if you know you're not going to get their #, they're almost always nice to you and it will get you into a chatty mood.  I've been known to do this before dates so that I'm "switched on" by then.  Why not use this tactic in the field?

Anyway, I was with this girl for four years and in light of my new found "Freedom" if you can call it that, I am going out this weekend and I am nervous and apprehensive about approaching women Im not worried about the actual conversations etc... just the walking over and initiating a conversation can anyone give me some practical tips to get over this feeling??
